Hailstorm Update: World of Tanks Introduces New Light Tanks, Enhances Crew Perks and Revitalizes Maps

A storm dubbed as the ‘Hailstorm’ has hit the realm of World of Tanks with the release of their latest patch, considered by Wargaming as the most substantial update of 2024.

The update introduces four new light tanks hailing from Czechoslovakia, known for their unique ammunition mechanics that mimic a bullet hailstorm and quick flanking capabilities. The crew perks are also getting a revamp, with enhancements like individual crew members gaining six perks, rewards from training manuals after the six perks are achieved, along with new and better-balanced perks.

The release also includes reworks of eight in-game maps, addition of random events in three existing maps, the kickoff of the Year of the Manticore in onslaught mode, along with various modifications to consumables and vehicles. To top this off, Wargaming is organizing a Back in Action event until September 23, offering rewards for returning players.
