A new Genshin Impact Special Program just premiered! As expected, the broadcast detailed the next chapter in the free-to-play action RPG’s narrative, alongside a preview of upcoming wish banners and events. However, the majority of the stream – roughly half – was dedicated to Miliastra Wonderland. This feature, initially teased in the previous Special Program, empowers players to create and share their own custom content. An earnings program is even in the works, although specifics are currently limited.
Crucially, we now understand the purpose of the item Venti provided! It serves as our entry ticket into the Wonderland. (If you happened to miss obtaining that item, don’t fret! Completing certain early sections of the main storyline will grant you access.) Once inside Miliastra Wonderland, players can craft a unique, fully customizable avatar. Outfits can be collected for these avatars. Some are free, some come via a new battle pass system, and others are acquired from the store or other game activities. The avatar can then be used within Teyvat and even added to your party. However, its level will correspond to your Wonderland level, and its element will mirror that of the Traveler’s current element.
With your avatar created, it’s time to start designing! HoYo has equipped players with a vast collection of assets accumulated over Genshin Impact’s five-year lifespan, providing ample creative resources. The development team has built a system that avoids the need for coding, although learning how to effectively integrate everything will require a bit of practice. Once mastered, you’ll be able to construct almost anything you can imagine. Watch the video below for a comprehensive overview of the system.
Concerning the upcoming story content, tensions are escalating as Rerir sets his sights on the Damselette. He has grown significantly more powerful, and defeating him will necessitate a unified effort from Nod-Krai’s various factions, along with external assistance. This explains the appearance of figures like Arlecchino.
The only new playable character being introduced this time around is Nefer. (Unfortunately, Varka isn’t arriving just yet.) Nefer will be featured in the first event wish banner, alongside Furina. The second event wish banner will spotlight Arlecchino and Zhongli. So, if you’re still hoping to acquire Father or Grandpa, this will be your next opportunity.
