FunPlus has officially launched Foundation: Galactic Frontier, a sprawling sci-fi strategy game based on Isaac Asimov’s celebrated Foundation series and its Apple TV adaptation. This free-to-play strategy game, now available on iOS, Android, and PC, seamlessly blends compelling narrative with engaging, real-time strategy gameplay.
Developed by FunPlus’s Chengdu studio in collaboration with Paramount Television Studios, Foundation: Galactic Frontier puts players in the role of “traders” as they journey into the depths of space. Their mission: to build crews, forge alliances, and engage in epic interstellar battles. The game features deep strategic mechanics and cinematic storytelling, aiming to captivate both long-time fans of the Foundation saga and newcomers alike.
In this universe, every choice matters. Players can opt for moral cooperation to defend against galactic threats or pursue self-interest to seize power and control. They can relax in the comfort of their flagship “homestead” or command massive space armadas in grand-scale conflicts.
Since its beta launch in late 2024, Foundation: Galactic Frontier has been enhanced with features such as a portrait mode, new ships, expanded storylines, and diverse seasonal events. Players can recruit a unique roster of companions – from robots to outlaws – and personalize their fleet of original ships, designed with input from industry veterans who previously contributed to Fallout, Stargate, and Star Wars.
