The switch to 64-bit servers by The Lord of the Rings Online has faced a bumpy path within the arena of Free-To-Play MMORPGs. Despite issues arising from a recent batch of server transfers, the team is committed to improving the situation and took initiative by launching a new EU 64-bit server last week. They also plan to introduce a new US server soon.
Standing Stone Games, taking charge of the business aspect, is halfway through its plans to initiate transfers from previously inactive worlds and to implement a dynamic transfer system that revolves weekly. As mentioned, the introduction of the new US server is also underway.
To express their apologies to the players for the inconvenience caused, LOTRO has generously distributed a rewards code that can be redeemed by any player until May 18th. To claim your rewards, enter the code “THANKYOU2025” at the in-game store. Please note that this gift can only be claimed once, so choose your character wisely.
The claimable reward package includes a “Pick-a-Mount” box offering a mount of your choice. Other goodies include 50 Mithril Coins, 20 Universal Ingredient Packs, 5 Black Steel Keys, and 2500 Virtue XP via Lesser Virtue Potions.
