About half a year ago, Final Fantasy XIV Mobile was officially announced. The launching date was disclosed last weekend. That’s correct! As per a post released on the platform Bilibili, the game will officially debut on June 19. However, only players from China will get an opportunity to enjoy the game…
As committed fans would know, when Final Fantasy XIV Mobile was unveiled, it was clearly mentioned by Square Enix that the game’s development involved a partnership with Lightspeed Studios (a branch of Tencent). As this partner operates from China, it was decided that the trials and the initial launch would be conducted in that country. Therefore, we received confirmation of the game’s debut in China over the past weekend. The thing that caught attention was that the original plan was to launch the game in August. Thus, it looks like the developers are satisfied with the progress of the development processes and the feedback received during the testing cycles.
Of course, for those who aren’t in China and are eager to try out the MMORPG on mobile phones, this development may not be the most exciting. However, it’s a positive sign that things are going according to plan and we should expect an announcement of the global version soon. It’s worth noting that the developers have guaranteed that the game will launch with all the content up to version 2.0, inclusive of nine jobs and five playable races. It’s a good idea to stay tuned for updates related to the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIV Mobile.
