The appeal of these text-based multiplayer games endured for a significant period amongst certain gamers.
While the rise of graphical MMOs in the mid-90s was thought to have rendered their text-based counterparts obsolete, the reality is very different. Surprisingly, not only have they survived, but they have flourished in many circles.
