Epic Games Boosts Rewards with 20% Back on Purchases in Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys

Epic Games has stepped up its Epic Rewards program, offering a generous 20% back in store credit on all transactions made in Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys through the Epic Games Store (EGS). This marks a significant increase from the previous 5%, providing players with more value for their purchases.

The promotion, which is valid until the end of August, is especially timely as Epic’s mobile games make a long-awaited return to iOS after a five-year hiatus. With this new offer, players are encouraged to purchase directly from Epic, bypassing third-party services like Apple.

For those unfamiliar with the industry dynamics, Apple takes a 30% cut of in-app purchases made through its payment system. However, with the 20% back promotion, players purchasing V-Bucks on iOS can choose between using Apple’s payment method or Epic’s direct payment system. The store credit will be applied two weeks after the purchase and can be used on virtually anything in the Epic Games Store, excluding subscriptions. However, purchases like Fortnite Crew will still qualify for rewards.

It’s important to note that console players (PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch) are not eligible for the 20% reward on in-game purchases, as they cannot make direct payments to Epic. However, players can still take advantage of the reward benefits by accessing the Fortnite web store.
