Dreamhaven by Ex-Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime to Announce Two Additional Titles Soon

Having held the reins at a studio such as Blizzard naturally means that any new venture you embark on will garner substantial interest. Such is the case for ex-Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime and his associated executives, currently making the rounds of interviews to promote the early access of their new endeavor, Dreamhaven’s upcoming title, Lynked: Banner of the Spark.

In a discussion with Games Industry, Dreamhaven’s Paul Della Bitta expressed that the company is putting their investment in indie games for a foreseeable future: “We notice majority of innovations – be it new genres, gameplay or IP – originate from independent developers. We believe it’s crucial for both the industry and players to experience these innovative works.”

Morhaime spoke about Dreamhaven’s future path, stating, “We don’t intend to chase trends nor offer repackaged versions of existing games.”

Lynked is being crafted by FuzzyBot Games, in collaboration with Dreamhaven. Concurrently, Dreamhaven’s two subsidiary studios are believed to reveal their initial projects in the ensuing months. “Our games would have been released earlier, provided they were ready,” Morhaime added. “The process of development has its course and it has taken this long.”
