Discussion persists about the destiny of New World. As it rebrands to New World: Aeternum, the “MMO” tag is removed from its marketing, and it prepares for a console launch. Initially, the confidential closed beta test was scheduled to commence tomorrow. That, however, is not happening anymore.
As per the indication from their X account, the test is postponed by two weeks and will now start on the 25th of July and end on the 31st. The reason? “To ensure we deliver the best possible Console Closed Beta experience,” evidently.
To ensure we deliver the best possible Console Closed Beta experience, it will now run from July 25 at 9 AM PT through July 31 at 9 AM PT.
Our team is hard at work to welcome you to Aeternum as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding. pic.twitter.com/l6Um2qUKfW

The test will allow PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users to evaluate the revised game and its console port – just expect a small delay in access. Amazon Games, however, keeps up its peculiar trend of delaying things very close to their planned dates.
