Ultima Online’s New Legacy beta updates crafting content, gear durability, and tamer pets

Discover Ultima Online’s Spring Roadmap Featuring a New Live Event in June’s Publish 120

If you’re a long-time Ultima Online player, you know how rare it is to receive a roadmap. However, this year has been exceptional, with two roadmaps already released. The latest, the Spring Roadmap, provides a glimpse into the next major update.

“Publish 120 is currently scheduled for a worldwide release this June. We aim to bring the first batch of Publish 120 to Test Center 1 later in May as it progresses through development and QA,” the UO team announced. This update will introduce the new Rifted Crown event (yes, UO still features numerous live GM-run events), supported by a city siege and what appears to be a new horse mount (Clydesdales!). Additionally, the update will include preparations for the 28th-anniversary gift. Just typing that makes me feel ancient.

The team also mentioned that the “planned Classic Client upgrade is progressing on track,” with a “testable version expected later this summer.” Alongside this, the official website and forums will undergo a revamp over the next few months.

Once Publish 120 is complete, the studio will roll out Publish 3 for the New Legacy server (Publish 2 was released in March, coinciding with the launch of the Japanese New Legacy server). Following that, Publish 121 is expected to arrive in the fall.
