The Public Test Realm for Diablo 4 is abuzz with anticipation, all thanks to the impactful 2.0 update. Here’s a breakdown of what’s in store for you in the scorching abyss:
First up is a sneak peek into what the online ARPG has planned for the upcoming season. Reportedly, data miners have discovered the official provisional title for Season 6 – Season of Hatred. Brace yourself for a terrfying onslaught of monstrous beings manipulated by none other than the Prime Evil, Mephisto. Rest assured, you won’t be thrust into this battle unarmed.
As reported by Wowhead, new enemy classes known as Realmwalkers, emissaries of Mephisto’s influence, will traverse various regions throughout Sanctuary. Overcoming these newly-introduced, interdimensional adversaries will give you access to Hell Portals, where you can earn potent buffs for battling Mephisto’s minions.
For those demon hunters who value their appearances, the latest PTR build has rolled out several new hairstyles and dyes. The update also introduces Patch 2.0 that significantly overhauls Diablo 4’s fundamental gameplay.
The path to amassing more power has been streamlined with a redesigned leveling mechanism, capped by a new level limit of 60. New challenges have been set for both base and endgame content, and with an updated skill tree system and the reappearance of legendary Runewords, you have more inventive paths to create your ultimate demon hunting machinery.
Lastly, joining forces with other demon hunters has now been made more convenient with the newly implemented Party Finder feature. The PTR wraps up on September 11th, providing you with a great opportunity to trial the changes and equipment up for the official launch of Season 6 on October 8. This will coincide with the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion.
