Deadmau5 to Release New Single for World of Tanks Blitz Holidays Event

To be honest, I never pictured myself saying this, but a collaboration between strategy game and world famous DJ and EDM artist deadmau5 is happening, starting from December 2nd. The latest World of Tanks Blitz collab is something I didn’t see coming and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. I might just sit this one out.

A new single “Familiars” has even been released as a result of this partnership and responses from the YouTube community are quite similar to my own. While many seem to enjoy the music, they find the collaboration a bit odd, some even calling it cringe-worthy.

In the game, players can participate in the deadmau5 themed dance party as a build-up to the “deadmau5 in the House” event, which mixes music with gameplay. This features several new prizes to win as well.

Participants can look forward to two unique quests exclusive to this event, three masks, multiple camouflage options (including one inspired by deadmau5’s famous Nyanborghini Purracan), and a deadmau5-styled tank.

Of all the unusual collaborations I have witnessed, this one might just top the list as the most peculiar.
