Remember when Cyberpunk 2077 was supposed to include a multiplayer function? That’s why we covered the game on our site. Unfortunately, despite their plans, it became evident post the chaotic release that it wasn’t meant to be. Moreover, they consistently confirmed the absence of this feature. However, as you’d expect from gaming enthusiasts, a resourceful modder took the initiative – if the creator isn’t including a multiplayer mode, why not just design a mod that enables it?.
The mod, affectionately dubbed CyberMP, was trialled in a non-public format and admittedly has its issues (like there are no animations for other players as yet). Still, it’s a start and delivers the groundwork for what was originally planned. Specifics regarding a launch date, features, or how the game will adapt to numerous players are still unclear. However, they’ll come in due course of development. The main takeaway is that, given progress continues smoothly, soon you might just be sharing the gaming space with your fellow chooms..
