“Crossroads” Patch 7.1 for Final Fantasy XIV, Featuring New Ultimate Raid, to Launch on November 12

Naoki Yoshida, the producer and director of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, during the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE, announced the forthcoming Patch 7.1 titled “Crossroads”. The release is planned for November 12, 2024 and promises exciting additions such as new quests, raids, and much more following the introduction of the game’s recent expansion, Dawntrail™.

The rate at which new content is being added remains consistent with previous expansions, however, this time, a novel challenge of ‘Chaotic’ difficulty is introduced specifically for 24-player Alliance Raids.

The content introduced in Patch 7.1 includes:

• Main Scenario Quests: Crossroads
• Dungeon: Yuweyawata Field Station
• 24-Player Alliance Raid: Echoes of Vana’diel – Jeuno: The First Walk
• Trial: The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden
• Unreal Trial: The Jade Stoa (Unreal): A level 100 confrontation against Byakko, one of the Four Lords.
• Chaotic Alliance Raid: The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic): It will be a new high-difficulty raid for 24 players rolling out one week after Patch 7.15
• Ultimate Raid: Futures Rewritten (Ultimate)
• Allied Society Quests: Players can participate in new cooperative quests with the Pelupelu designed for different battle classes and jobs
• Custom Delivery Client: Nitowikwe
• Additional role and Wachumeqimeqi Quests: Players who have completed all Dawntrail role quests or all Wachumeqimeqi quests will witness a concluding event to their respective stories
• Hildibrand Quest Series: The fan-favorite sleuth returns for more fun in Dawntrail
• New Game+ support for Patch 7.0: Players can replay main scenario quests, job quests, and role quests

• Duty Support Adds: Support for the non-main scenario quest dungeon Halatali will be rolled out, with more additions expected in the future
• Housing Update: Players can choose interior designs from different residential areas no matter where their plot is located. New interior designs will also be added
• Player vs. Player Update: Multiple maps for Crystalline Conflict will be adjusted, PvP action changes will be made, and more
• Assorted Updates: Additions will be made to the Novice’s Hall with training for various battle mechanics, NPC voiceovers will be added to Doman Mahjong, and so on

The “Chaotic” difficulty 24-player raid and the “Ultimate” difficulty raid promises to test even the highly experienced players.

• Art Book: “FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail — The Art of Succession – Relics of Heritage” will be released on April 29, 2025. Pre-orders are currently ongoing. The book showcases extensive artwork from the Dawntrail expansion and also comes with an in-game item code
• Jewelry Collaboration: A unique collaborative effort of Flibustier Paris with FFXIV that has resulted in a jewelry collection themed after the game’s Grand Companies. Available for pre-order now
