Console Star Trek Online Captains: It’s Time for Research & Development

Console players of Star Trek Online who’ve been keen to partake in R&D projects will find much-needed assistance forthcoming. As of September 5, users of the MMORPG will have the opportunity to enjoy certain perks during the R&D Week event. For four days, the game will provide an additional 25% of items typically received from all R&D packs, with some possibly including a Catalyst.

Furthermore, Harvest Nodes will also be up for grabs, dropping another 2 R&D materials along with 10 Dilithium Ore each time they’re utilized. A chance to acquire an R&D catalyst is offered throughout the event.

Not stopping there, all projects in progress during the event will yield an extra 50% of R&D School XP.

Apart from Research & Development, STO also offers Bonus Commendation XP to console players engaging in the Junior Officer Weekend. Coinciding with the R&D event, they will receive a 50% increase in Command XP for Duty Officer Assignments completion. Also, speaking to the duty officer contact will allow them to claim a free special Purple quality duty officer, assuming they haven’t participated in the event before.
