Catalyst League Brings Seasonal Competition to RuneScape

Catalyst League Brings Seasonal Competition to RuneScape

Jagex has launched Catalyst, the first seasonal League in the modern RuneScape. From September 15th to November 10th, 2025, players can experience this limited-time event with a new character slot, boosted experience gains, and numerous optional tasks. Completing these tasks rewards players with points, unlockable relics, and prestigious trophies.

While seasonal leagues have been a staple in Old School RuneScape for years, Catalyst marks their introduction to the main game (“RS3”). This format combines fast progression with a leaderboard competition, offering veteran players a fresh challenge and enticing returning players to jump back in without feeling left behind.

Key Features of Catalyst:

  • Available to all RuneScape members from September 15th to November 10th, 2025.
  • Players begin with a new character and benefit from significantly increased XP rates, allowing them to access high-level content quickly.
  • Hundreds of tasks are available, ranging from simple combat encounters to challenging boss battles. Each task awards League Points.
  • League Points unlock Relics, passive modifiers that enhance skills and movement. New options, like Farming Frenzy and Golden Footed, join popular relics from Old School leagues.
  • A global leaderboard tracks player progress. The top player receives a unique Dragon Trophy, while all participants receive a smaller commemorative trophy.
  • Unspent League Points are converted into cosmetic items in the main game after the event concludes.
  • Jagex offers a limited-time membership package covering the entire eight-week event for $21.99, available until September 21st.

RuneScape is available on Steam, iOS, and Android with crossplay compatability.
