This week, Clockwork Labs has rolled out an update for BitCraft Online, following the newly revealed 2025 roadmap.
The patch brings a range of gameplay enhancements to the free-to-play sandbox MMO currently in Early Access. One significant addition is the Scrapping Bench, a new building that allows players to dismantle tools into scrap materials. These materials can be utilized to increase the rarity of tools without advancing their tier, affording players more customization options while managing their progress.
The developers have indicated that the balance of tool rarity is still being assessed, with plans to expand this system to other gear types in forthcoming patches.
A noteworthy feature introduced in this update is a new pet type called the Lusul. Unlike the more frequently encountered owls, Lusuls will be rarer and more intriguing to find. This represents a step towards the broader initiative to create more dynamic and meaningful pets, which players will discover organically rather than seek out actively.
Furthermore, the update includes new hair color options and revisions to crafting tiers. As BitCraft Online approaches its one-month mark in Early Access, it continues to maintain an average of 2,700 concurrent players. Significant features, such as player housing, are still slated for a major update on July 24.
