Ashes of Creation Adjusts Paid Alpha Two Access Packages Amidst Community Protests

Intrepid Studios caused a stir this past weekend with its declaration of a minimum fee of $100 for access to the second alpha test of Ashes of Creation. In response to the public outcry, the studio has tweaked a few things. While the fee will not be reduced, they’ve decided to add more value to your purchase if you’re still considering spending over a hundred dollars for early access.

All pre-ordered packages now provide access to Alpha Two, Beta One and Beta Two, furthermore, you get $15 worth of in-game currency and a free month of gameplay when Ashes of Creation officially launches. The bundles come at the prices of $100, $110, and $120 for the Third Wave, Second Wave, and First Wave bundles respectively.

“The Alpha Two access pricing takes into account the realm and CDN costs integral to a live service product,” explains Intrepid Studios. “Though this isn’t a complete game, it will be a live service set for updates every six weeks as we develop the remaining game content and features.”

“Only consider buying testing access to Ashes of Creation if you’re prepared for a non-finalised gaming experience,” warns the studio. “It will be full of glitches, rough patches, and will require dedicated players ready to be testers.”

If you’re still willing to invest, you can purchase a testing bundle of your choice on the official Ashes of Creation website.
