It’s that wonderful time of the year again when video game companies unite to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. ArenaNet is proudly participating for the ninth consecutive year with an Extra Life gaming marathon. This year, they aim to raise $25,000, and ArenaNet will match it, bringing the total donation to a remarkable $50,000!
The livestream event will begin on November 14th and will run for 24 hours, concluding at noon Pacific time on November 15th. As an incentive for fundraising, the developers are offering in-game rewards to Guild Wars 2 players. Some rewards are as simple as logging in between November 4th and November 25th. By doing so, players will receive “The Extra Life” title, along with in-game buffs. The strength of these buffs will increase for every $10,000 donated directly to Team ArenaNet for the Extra Life Fundraiser.
To further encourage donations, ArenaNet is offering an Extra Life Donation Bundle via the free-to-play MMORPG‘s gem store. This bundle includes Karma Boosters, potions, and the new Mini Guardian Angel Blish. Players who missed it last year can also obtain the Guardian Angel Pedestal chair.
