MoreFun Studios has announced that Arena Breakout: Infinite will officially launch on Steam on September 15th, leaving its Early Access phase behind. This free-to-play tactical extraction shooter, initially popular on mobile platforms, is now poised for a full PC release after attracting over two million Steam wishlists. The game is both developed and published by Morefun Studios, a subsidiary of the prominent Chinese tech corporation, Tencent.

The extraction shooter genre has seen significant growth in popularity ever since Escape from Tarkov established the core principles of risk-and-reward gameplay. Arena Breakout: Infinite aligns with this model: players enter a PvPvE environment, gather resources, and then attempt to extract themselves before being eliminated by other players or AI patrols. MoreFun states that the launch version includes a rebalancing of high-tier loot and the complete removal of any form of paid power, a decision likely intended to reassure fans of the genre who value a fair and balanced playing field.
