Anticipating Chrono Odyssey’s Closed Beta, But…

Chrono Odyssey’s closed beta has finally launched—something I’ve been eagerly anticipating. I hoped this would be the next standout MMORPG. However, initial player feedback is not very promising. Despite Chrono Studio promoting it as a next-gen and visually appealing experience, the current beta appears to be lacking.

Players are reporting issues with optimization across various setups—frame rate drops, awkward animations, and disruptive gameplay interruptions. The combat, which was touted as a key feature, feels clumsy and monotonous to many users. Some have even mentioned that it resembles a console-focused game, making the PC version feel secondary. Overall, it seems that the game requires considerable improvements before it’s up to standard.

Like many others, I was hoping for Chrono Odyssey to bring something fresh to the MMO landscape. Unfortunately, it currently feels more disappointing than revolutionary. Let’s hope this beta serves as the starting point for a more extensive refinement process. The potential is evident—it just needs considerably more development time. Let’s give them the opportunity to enhance it.
