Troy Blackburn’s recent review reflecting on his experience with the New World: Aeternum beta reveals that it was generally successful. The restricted nature of the MMORPG‘s test, meant that participants only saw updated introductory material; the endgame is still veiled. However, the brief exposure provided was deemed satisfactory by players.
It appears that Amazon is gratified with these results – enough to disclose some beta test data. This includes completed quests (close to 10.5 million), enemies eradicated in the open world and during the Amrine Excavation Expedition (39.6 million and 987 thousand respectively), popular archetypes and weapons, and the number of attempters of the Sandwurm fight – a terrifying 168, none of whom survived.
Amazon didn’t limit its news to data alone. With the imminent launch on the horizon, they’re promoting pre-orders, dropping a new trailer featuring the Azoth stalker mount included in the pre-order bundle.
