New World: Aeternum‘s inaugural holiday celebration is due to happen soon. Scheduled for next week, starting October 22nd, the MMORPG on PC will see the return of Nightveil Hallow. For the first time, console gamers will experience how Amazon Games conducts holiday events in its recently relaunched offering.
What’s a Halloween celebration without a costume? Head over to town centerpieces or Baalphazu to pick up a disguise that you can sport till the event wraps up on November 5th. There is an array of costumes available, modeled after game’s main characters. But, let’s face it, most players will likely be styling Captain Thorpe’s look, no doubt.
After your costume is sorted, start your quest for Treat Baskets across various towns. Mind you, some of these baskets won’t be a cakewalk to locate. The official announcement discloses the potential prizes in these baskets and the odds of getting them. Prizes include Baalphazu armor pieces (10% likelihood), 2 Nightveil Tokens (awarded thrice daily), and a specialty item—candy.
Also, do lookout for Baalphazu, the level 66 boss making a return. Take on the world boss and stand a chance to win armor pieces. Word of caution, the daily prizes are capped. The armor pieces drop five times daily, and costumes drop thrice. Additionally, you can also score Ichor.
The comprehensive post mentioned above provides a detailed list of all extra prizes that can be won with the event’s Nightveil Tokens.
