The Finals Midseason Update: Halloween & New Game Modes!

The Midseason Update for The Finals Season 8 conjures up the Halloween spirit, unleashing a cauldron of new events, cosmetics, and features for the free-to-play shooter.

Ghoul Rush is a spine-chilling, limited-time free-for-all mode where every player begins as a Survivor. But beware! Upon elimination, players rise again as Ghouls, relentlessly hunting down the remaining Contestants. Each match unfolds over three rounds, offering ample opportunity for both revenge and rewards. Survivors amass cash by eliminating enemies or by surviving until the bitter end, while Ghouls earn their keep by taking down the living. This ghoulish game takes place in the fog-enshrouded ALFA-ACTA P.E.A.C.E. Center, ensuring a balanced playing field with fixed loadouts.

The Haunted Harvest is a chilling 14-day collection event featuring daily contracts. Complete each contract to smash a pumpkin and unearth random rewards. Those who unlock all prizes will be rewarded with the Legendary Swamp Formal set. But beware, procrastinators! Missing a day will cause a pumpkin to rot, requiring a purchase to claim its hidden treasure.

This update also fine-tunes existing modes for a smoother experience. Team Deathmatch gets a boost in pacing by removing defibrillators and friendly totems, while Power Shift adds the NOZOMI/CITADEL map to its rotation. Social enhancements include Discord integration, facilitating in-game party invites and Embark ID management, though PlayStation support is still under development.

New replay options allow players to scrutinize projectiles and turrets in action, with replays concluding in a dramatic slow-motion cinematic effect. On the cosmetic front, prepare for the arrival of two premium DLC bundles: The Apothecarion and Chirurgeon sets, each priced at 2400 Multibucks. The in-game store welcomes the Liquid Assets and Stakeholder sets, Halloween-themed weapon skins, and new national flags representing Ireland and Lithuania.

Twitch Drops make a haunting return for Halloween, offering the Witching Drop charm and Patch Splitters knives for dedicated viewers. The World Tour event continues under the banner of new sponsor TRENTILA, promising a glimpse into the “Taste of Tomorrow.”
