Genshin Impact Fifth Anniversary Update Adds Nod-Krai Region

Hoyoverse has launched Version Luna I for Genshin Impact, introducing the new frigid region of Nod-Krai to celebrate the game’s fifth anniversary. Since its release in 2020, the open-world action RPG has consistently added a new nation each year, and Nod-Krai completes the Teyvat map’s seven regions. Players who have finished the Liyue storyline can now jump into a new Archon Quest, facing new enemies and further exploring the ongoing Fatui Harbinger narrative.

Alongside the new zone, the update includes three new playable characters, anniversary rewards, and the return of the Hoyoverse community showcase, HoYoFair, later this month. Here’s a rundown of Version Luna I’s key features:

• New region: Nod-Krai – A snow-covered area under the control of the Fatui Harbinger “Marionette,” where a plot to exploit lunar power is brewing.
• Main story chapter – The Archon Quest continues, introducing allies like Lauma of the Frostmoon Scions and reintroducing familiar characters like Columbina, now known as the Moon Maiden.
• Three playable characters
  • Lauma – A 5-star Catalyst user with Dendro abilities who can trigger the new Lunar-Bloom elemental reaction.
  • Flins – A 5-star Polearm wielder whose Electro attacks receive enhancements during a full moon.
  • Aino – A 4-star Claymore engineer who can be obtained for free by completing the new questline.
• Event Wishes – The first phase features Lauma and a Nahida rerun; the second phase highlights Flins, Aino, and Yelan.
• Exploration perks
  • Character-specific world interactions, such as Lauma using animals for assistance and Flins using his lantern to detect the Wild Hunt.
  • A “Meeting Points” system where players can observe slice-of-life interactions between party members.
• Anniversary rewards – Receive a free 5-star Standard Wish character, 1,600 Primogems, 10 Intertwined Fates, and region-specific gadgets via in-game mail.
