Once Human: Final Server Merge Before Shutdown

Starry Studio has been implementing World merges in Once Human‘s persistent servers to maintain a healthy server environment. However, recognizing that players choose these servers for their inherent stability, and that merges can be disruptive, they’ve decided to discontinue the practice after one final event. The goal is to reduce disruption that server merges cause.

This final permanent server World merge is scheduled for September 10th. It will impact servers with a high number of Worlds and will also include performance enhancements. After this merge, players will have the option to voluntarily transfer to their preferred World.

Concurrently, the developers are adjusting the sign-up cooldown rules for permanent servers and those in a settlement phase. The new rule will prevent characters from switching servers within 12 hours of joining one. This cooldown period will increase with each server transfer within a month, resetting on the first of each month.

According to the announcement on the Once Human Steam page, players can anticipate further server optimizations in the future. The developers are committed to improving the game’s infrastructure.
