Sun and Moon Arrive in Wuthering Waves Version 2.6

As previously announced, Kuro Games has released Version 2.6, “By Sun’s Scourge By Moon’s Revelation,” for its open-world action RPG, Wuthering Waves. This update introduces two new five-star Resonators, a new explorable region, and further progresses the main storyline. Following server maintenance, players can claim Astrite as compensation upon logging in before the next update.

Version 2.6’s launch has resulted in a significant increase in Wuthering Waves’ player base. The game reached a peak of 21,306 concurrent players on Steam on launch day, roughly double the typical weekday peak.

Version 2.6 Highlights:

• New 5-Star Resonators:
  • Augusta (Electro, Broadblade): High-damage DPS character with damage amplification capabilities.
  • Iuno (Aero, Gauntlets): Support healer specializing in buffing Heavy Attacks and Concerto effects.
• Exclusive 5-Star Weapons: Thunderflare Dominion for Augusta and Moongazer’s Sigil for Iuno, plus the new Hunter’s Growl four-star weapon series.
• New Region: Sanguis Plateaus: Unlocks during Chapter II Act VIII. Offers area events, photo opportunities, and exploration rewards within a highland hunting setting.
• Story Progression:
  • Chapter II Act VIII: “By Sun’s Burning Hand” (available now).
  • Chapter II Act IX: “By Moon’s Fated Light” (unlocks September 17, server time).
• New Echoes and Sonata Sets: Includes Corrosaurus and the Crown of Valor/Law of Harmony three-piece set bonuses.
• Events:
  • Area exploration event “Hunt of Ash and Steel.”
  • Photo challenge event “Prints of Plateaus.”

  Flight utility now usable in Jinzhou and the Black Shores, map tracking for minerals and collectibles, one-click reward claiming, adaptive trigger support for DualSense controllers, and various UI refinements.
• Endgame Adjustments: New Tower of Adversity floors, Ember mechanic adjustments for Whimpering Wastes, and expanded Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways memory zones.
• Maintenance Compensation: 300 Astrite and 2 Crystal Solvent for eligible players, plus an additional 300 Astrite for bug fixes.
