Season 7 of Hearthstone: Battlegrounds begins today

Blizzard recently made the announcement regarding the forthcoming chapter of Hearthstone‘s Battlefields, which is set to be disclosed on April 16th. The new Season 7 will introduce a new game mode, Battlegrounds Duos, along with new heroes, minions, and spells.

The Doubles mode will comprise 4 heroes, 16 minions, and 3 spells that tie in with the mechanics of the new mode. However, these features are exclusive to Battlegrounds Duos and will not be available in the regular Battlefields mode.

Within the Doubles mode, you’ll partner up and compete against three other pairs. Each team’s total life is shared, and participants trade cards through the Portal on their quest for victory.

The commencement of Season 7 also signifies the resetting of the Battlegrounds Ranking and the exit of the Battlegrounds Missions from the Tavern. However, the Tavern spells will persist in the traditional Battlefields and will form a staple component of the Battlegrounds Duos.

Additionally, Season 7 is set to incorporate 50 new minions, along with the reintroduction of several minions and some fresh Tavern spells into the Ground mode. Players can also expect a revamp of the Beasts, updates to Dragons and Mechanoids, and balance tweaks to various minions and heroes.
