Ragnarok M Classic

Ragnarok M: Global Classic has release date revealed by Gravity

Gravity Corp has announced that Ragnarok M: Global Classic will officially launch on September 3rd. This global version of the classic MMORPG mobile game is inspired by Ragnarok Online. The game is currently in closed beta until August 28th, with testing available on Android, iOS, and PC since August 1st.

Unlike many modern MMORPGs, Ragnarok M: Classic Global aims for a 100% player-centered experience. It will forgo gacha mechanics, recurring paid packages, and random upgrade chances. The game will launch with six starting classes, a free class change system after reaching Tier 3, and progression solely based on Zeny, the in-game currency. This approach intends to foster a fair and transparent economy, where advancement depends on a player’s time and effort.

Beyond nostalgia, the game aims to capture the essence of the original Ragnarok Online. It will preserve the classic atmosphere and familiar mechanics for veteran players, while also incorporating improvements to make the experience more accessible for newcomers. Gravity states that they are focusing on balance and freedom of choice, seeking to deliver a pay-to-win-free MMORPG where progress is earned through effort and dedication – although some players remain skeptical.
