Those who have kept up with the awaited international launch of MMORPG Blue Protocol: Star Resonance might be aware that a few days ago, the developers from Shangoi Bokura Technology initiated a recruitment for a closed beta. Registrations are open until August 14 and it seems some criticism from players has already influenced changes in the Playtest, particularly concerning reimbursements of purchases made at the “In-Game” store. Let’s dig deeper into this matter.
In essence, when the Closed Beta was announced, Bokura highlighted that purchases made at the “In-Game” store during the tests would be adequately refunded. The rules of these reimbursements were given out and to an extent, the concept was positively received. However, the issue arose when certain incentives were offered by the Devs, leading to a number of bonuses for the high-spending players. This sparked complaints from many players who felt it could lead to an unchecked Pay-to-win situation, with some suggesting that the “In-Game” store should not open during PlayTest at all.
All these discussions led to modifications being made by the devs. As clarified, refunds will still be given according to the original plan, but the incentives will be removed. Hence, players will be reimbursed the exact amount they spent in the “In-Game” store during the Closed Beta. Importantly, we must remember that there is a general reset at the end of the test round, and the developers have committed to providing more details on the reimbursement process. So, let’s keep an eye on the developments from the creative team.
