Arms Week is now active in Destiny 2 as part of The Edge of Fate.
This event runs until August 5 and emphasizes weaponry with the introduction of a new Hand Cannon archetype, Phoneutria Fera, alongside cherished returning items and powerful new Volatile Mods. Players can engage in daily and weekly challenges via the dedicated Arms Week hub in The Portal, earning Holofoil weapons, engrams, and other rewards using Combat Telemetry. Additionally, Ada-1 provides focused engrams that can be decrypted for specific loot.
A fresh activity called The Coil has been added to The Portal. Initially released in Season of the Wish, The Coil merges intense combat with strategic modifiers and multiple difficulty tiers. Players aiming for a B+ grade or above can access premium gear, but attempting to push the challenge too much may result in encounters with immune foes. Master and Grandmaster options are now available for lower-level players.
Looking forward, the Solstice event kicks off next week, lasting two weeks. This iteration prioritizes the crafting and enhancement of Solstice armor through the revamped Solstice Forge, now upgraded with the new armor and stat system introduced in The Edge of Fate. In lieu of Bonfire Bash, Solstice will feature rotating Solar-themed modifiers—such as Hot Potato, Fired Up, Class Healing, and Igniter—for Portal activities. Moreover, a new Solstice Scorched Crucible Playlist incorporates Scorch Cannons into standard PvP modes.
Rewards will include a unique emblem, Ghost shell, and additional Holofoil weapons. The updated event hub allows players to purchase Tier 1–4 weapons and armor engrams according to Guardian Rank, alongside Glimmer and Enhancement Cores.
Finally, Trials of Osiris returns this weekend, showcasing Burnout as the featured map. Power Level disadvantages are disabled, allowing players to earn a new armor set and five powerful weapons, including the Aureus Neutralizer, the second Spread Shot Hand Cannon. For the first six weekends, there will be no featured weapon, giving players the opportunity to collect from the full Trials loot pool through consistent victories. Featured weapons will return on September 9 with the Ash & Iron Major Update.
