Blue Archive Advances Beyond Mobile, Launches on Steam

The anime-style tactical RPG, Nexon‘s Blue Archive, has officially landed on Steam after being exclusive to mobile for a while. With its combo of strategic battles and character-centric narratives, the game aims to captivate a larger target market, building on its solid user base since its first launch. The inauguration on Steam occurred on July 4, and it has already reached a peak of 22,049 concurrent players.

First launched in 2021, Blue Archive quickly found favor among aficionados of anime artistry and turn-based RPGs. This was aided in part by its steady updates and active community. The game is set in Kivotos, a vast city comprising various academies serving as the centerpiece for episodic storylines covering regular school life and grand conspiracies.

Since its Steam launch, Blue Archive has been well-received, earning a ‘Very Positive’ 91% user score from over 9,000 reviews. Newcomers to the game will take on the role of an advisor for the Federal Investigation Club, SCHALE, dealing with various situations and forging relationships with an eclectic roster of students.   • Seia (3★, Piercing-Type STRIKER): Decreases EX Skill cost for an ally while increasing their cost recovery.
  • Asuna (School) (3★, Explosive-Type STRIKER): Enhances attack power for herself and a Special Student ally.
  • Rio (3★, Mystic-Type SPECIAL): Able to copy and use an ally’s EX Skill Card while boosting their attack.
  • Neru (School) (3★, Piercing-Type STRIKER): Enters a Duel state, dealing extra damage and unlocking a unique skill for that state.
  • The favourite character Hanako (Swimsuit) is also brought back for this event.
