The hearts, they have lions

Lionhearts is an upcoming strategy MMO that originated from a popular Roblox game.

Over six million players of Roblox have taken on the Lionhearts game, a large-scale strategy experience set during the Crusades. This popularity has inspired developer Credenzio Studios to expand the concept into a standalone game powered by Unreal Engine 5. The new version of Lionhearts will feature a persistent strategy world that mirrors Europe during the Crusades.

In this spin-off, players can engage in historically inspired activities to build power and influence, eventually battling against other factions. With 66 professions and 14 guild types to choose from, the game offers a rich and immersive experience. The Kickstarter page hints that players can even assign tasks to their offline characters, and the game will rely almost entirely on player interactions, with minimal NPCs.

Lionhearts features a single, persistent open world where servers are seamlessly connected,” the developers explain. “Every location exists in one instance, with no need for server hopping. Supply and demand are dynamic and real. Each fief is unique and owned by an individual player. With 12 player-run kingdoms and 4 military orders, every position of power, from lord to king, is controlled by real players. Command retinues, wage wars, and navigate diplomacy in a dynamic, unscripted struggle for land and influence. Monarchs must balance internal politics, trade, and religion while competing for dominance in the Holy Land and beyond.”

This raises an interesting question: what will the game world look like when many players aspire to be lords, but few are willing to take on the role of foot soldiers? Keep this in mind as you explore the screenshots below and visit the full Kickstarter page before its launch.
