Dungeons and Dragons Online Announces Three New 64-Bit Servers in July, While Closing All Legacy Worlds

The game master has returned from meticulously crafting a new campaign, and the full details have finally been unveiled: Dungeons and Dragons Online is bidding farewell to all of its aging 32-bit realms while launching a trio of new 64-bit worlds this summer.

First, the announcement. DDO is introducing three 64-bit servers on July 9th: Oerik and Thrane will be based in the US, while Moonsea will reside in Europe. These new servers will join Cormyr, a 64-bit game world that debuted back in 2024.

Standing Stone Games is encouraging all DDO players and guilds to take advantage of the free character transfers to one of these four worlds. This is crucial as all current 32-bit servers will permanently shut down on August 31st. If you miss the transfer window, SSG has assured players that there will be future opportunities to move characters from these “ghost worlds” once again.
