If you haven’t heard yet, Splitgate 2 has officially been released today. However, that’s not the only exciting news regarding the game. During the Summer Game Fest livestream, 1047 Games unveiled a new trailer and announced that the shooter not only launched, but it also includes a battle royale mode. Fans eager for other gameplay modes can rest easy; Arena, Onslaught, and The Lab have not been phased out. This isn’t solely a battle royale experience—it’s simply a new feature.
This mode accommodates 15 teams of 4 players, who are transported onto the map via an airship. Initially, all players start with a pistol and must scavenge for items throughout the map to ensure their survival, including the portal gun.
