Path of Exile Reveals Secrets of the Atlas Update

Today, during a live broadcast, Grinding Gear Games unveiled the upcoming update for Path of Exile, named Secrets of the Atlas. Set to launch on June 13, this update opens rifts in the game’s action RPG Atlas, leading players to alternate realities. It’s up to players to locate the source and restore order.

The latest update will feature a new endgame narrative along with an innovative crafting system. Additionally, there will be new bosses for players to conquer. Within the endgame storyline, they will encounter the enigmatic character Eagon, who finds himself in a predicament as he seeks to delve into his own history. His only clue is a young girl visible through the rifts, whom he recognizes as the daughter of the inventor who crafted the Atlas.

This update emphasizes themes of memory. The rifts in the Atlas represent strands of memory, and a physical material near these rifts allows Eagon to access portals. Players will join forces with him to explore these portals in search of the girl.

At each Thread’s conclusion, players will face off against new monsters and bosses. While some may seem vaguely familiar, they are different from any opponents players have encountered before.
