Season 8 – Season of the Divide Update for New World: Aeternum Launches Today

Amazon Games is about to unleash Season of the Divide, the eighth significant improvement for New World: Aeternum. The new season, which begins today, May 13, introduces hardcore seasonal servers, a new sea-themed Outpost Rush map, and temporary PvP preview events, along with fast-paced progression and intense challenges.

The live launch of the update is scheduled approximately at 7 AM Pacific Time.

New Hardcore Seasonal Server (To Be Introduced in June)

• Permanent demising mechanics offering exclusive rewards for the enduring players
• Streamlined advancement in leveling and crafting
• Three-tier Journey system with Set 3 rewards attainable through “unfallen” status

• Coral Divide Map: Permanent Outpost Rush battleground featuring vertical combat and strategic flanking paths
• Capture the Flag: New duel of 10v10 mode introducing power-ups and jump pads (temporary test)
• 3v3 Arena Update: The biggest arena so far, located in an ancient temple grove
• Outpost Rush: Barebones: Balanced version removing equipment advantages

Unleashing of Expeditions

• Rotating weekly boss fights in the open world against expedition favorites such as Mammoth Mahantaram
• Surefire 725 Gear Score drops and multiple items over 710 per event

Introduction of Seven New Artifacts

• The Old Crown: +10 universal attributes with gem bonuses
• Relentless: Team protective armor and healing aura shield
• Vampire Vestments: Chest piece offering lifesteal/mana balance

Improvements in Combat and Quality of Life Factors

• Five different types of new Survival Potions, including Health Shots and Grit Potions
• Remodulation of Target Lock/Aim Assist for players using controller
• New Jade (illness) and Turquoise (armor piercing) gems
