Pearl Abyss has officially announced that the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Black Desert Console are set to launch on June 26, 2025, representing a major leap forward for the MMORPG. These upgraded editions will be available free of charge to all current players, with all progress and saved data transferring seamlessly to the new versions.
Moving forward, Black Desert Console will be supported exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, meaning that service for the PS4 and Xbox One editions will come to a close. This shift stems from limitations in last-gen hardware that restrict new content delivery and performance improvements. The focus now is on ensuring consistent content access and smoother gameplay across all current-gen platforms.
This transition also lays the groundwork for upcoming expansions like Ulukita and Deadeye, aiming to elevate the game’s overall performance and content variety.
