The latest update for Smite 2, Open Beta 6, is going live on Monday and it includes the newly added god, Merlin, to the roster in the MOBA game. More than the inclusion of a new god, expect exciting features with this update. The patch notes reveal the new Aspect of Pandemonium, expected to be launched on March 28, bringing an element of unpredictability to the gameplay. This new game dynamic reduces Merlin’s Elemental Mastery cooldown. Using it triggers a random Stance with two random core abilities each time it’s used. Moreover, Elemental Mastery usage provides a temporary intelligence boost.
Another notable feature of this patch is the pre-game team balancer mechanism. It facilitates up to three player swaps post lobby entry, aiming to optimize team balance. Furthermore, this update boosts the gaming experience with enhancements like item shop filters and a method to classify gods based on each role’s playrate.
Lastly, the developers shared that Combat Blink in Smite 2 has been temporarily deactivated. Following recent feedback and discussions, the team decided to conduct some testing with it. This phase is set to last approximately a week, after which a survey will be sent out for inputs.
