Have you ever pondered, “Gosh, sandbox survival crafting games are fantastic, but how about one happening within a large train’s confined space?” If you didn’t, Red Rover Interactive, an independent developer, did. They’ve recently unveiled their new game, Enginefall.
Featured on Steam, the game unfolds on gigantic trains in a post-apocalyptic world — similar to the movie Snowpiercer. The players reside on these trains and have to fend for their survival. Typical to most sandbox games, players start from scratch and struggle to reach the top. Begin as a permanent servant and progress through the ranks until you can command the train akin to a conductor. (It indeed has a touch of Snowpiercer vibe.)
Of course, the strategy you adopt is completely up to you. Building relationships and alliances are beneficial. Construct bases. Rally revolts. Exploit all possible means. You can also raid competing trains to accumulate resources.
A release date for Enginefall is not yet shared. However, players can moon mark it on their Steam wishlist and apply for access to the playtest right away.
