Gathering “shines” in Rift used to be a favourite recreational activity in the MMORPG, especially during the “Shiny Shenanigans” event. During this, Artifact Piñatas appear in almost all game zones.
Destroying these yields artifacts from the Shiny Shenanigans Artifact Sets. Each set comprises approximately 30+ artifacts, implying that initiating from scratch implies significant grinding. However, regular Rift players have likely already accomplished this task or are on their way to doing so.
Finishing any set gives you “Artifact Eyes”, enabling your character’s eyes to emit a glow. The only variation between each completed set is the hue of the Artifact Eyes you obtain. According to the official announcement, the event begins today and lasts until the 10th during the weekend. If you want a specific color, refer to the comprehensive guide at CADRIFT.
Interestingly, in Rift history, this event malfunctioned in 2022 during gamigo’s management. It was not until the end of 2024 that gamigo finally resolved the problem, and the event functioned flawlessly then. Hopefully, it will continue to run smoothly this time as well.
In the meantime, at least Rift’s Fae Yule holiday event has finally been pushed out of the top-most position on the official site’s rotating banner…
