The second installment of Path of Exile, Path of Exile 2, is launching an extensive update, patch 0.1.1, later this week. This new update brings enhancements to maps and armor, buffed uniques and several other improvements. While the next league is likely to introduce more significant changes, this patch addresses prominent issues within the current game state.
Following the release of Path of Exile 2 in early December, the game achieved a peak concurrent playerbase of 578,569 – more than double of its predecessor, Path of Exile. Even though these figures have slightly declined, the game still maintains a 24-hour peak of 291,849, vastly outpacing the original game’s numbers.
Having already spent roughly 100 hours on Path of Exile 2, the game seems to lack content compared to the original. However, this is understandable considering the game is in its early access stage, costing $30 to play, with plans to be free at launch. This cost is offset by offering an equivalent amount of premium in-game currency. Players can also transfer their Stash tabs from Path of Exile 1 to Path of Exile 2.
