Warframe studio Digital Extremes donated $10000 to support California wildfire relief efforts

Digital Extremes, the Warframe Studio, contributes $10,000 to California wildfire relief efforts.

This week, our focus has been on the unfolding catastrophe in Southern California, as numerous wildfires are wreaking havoc across Los Angeles. More than tens of thousands of homes and structures are in ruins and nearly a half-dozen individuals have tragically lost their lives. The fires continue to burn with no respite in sight. To make matters worse, these devastating wildfires have impacted multiple gaming studios since several, like Blizzard and Fantastic Pixel Castle, are based in the affected region. Riot Games, in the wake of the ongoing crisis, announced temporary closure of its West LA offices, except for “critical functions”.

If you’re in another country or state, wondering how to help, you can follow in the footsteps of the developers of Warframe and Soulframe, Digital Extremes, who have made a generous donation to the California Fire Foundation.

“Our hearts go out to those affected by the severe destruction in California,” the Canadian studio declared last night. “As our contribution towards the relief efforts, Digital Extremes has donated $10,000 USD to @CAFireFound. As we all know, words are not enough during these challenging times. Please stay safe and help in any way you can.”

They have contributed to the California Fire Foundation, for your information. Furthermore, Maria Shriver, the Former First Lady of California, has indicated a list of other local organizations offering assistance. This includes the Red Cross, Calfund Wildfire Recovery Fund, LA Food Bank, and a non-profit called Watch Duty.
