Marvel Rivals’ “Hero Hot List” Showcases Most Popular Game Heroes

For those of you who love dissecting data, NetEase has come up with an interesting approach. Instead of having players wait for the next developers’ update or special infographic to evaluate how a character is fairing, they have introduced a regularly updated “Hero Hot List” for their team shooter Marvel Rivals.

It’s a simple concept. It shows the Pick Rate and Win Rate of the characters currently available in the game, with distinct lists for PC and Console users, and an option to review the Quickplay or Competitive data. For those keen to delve into the details, they can opt to look at a specific game role.

For instance, viewing the Quickplay stats for PC across all roles, it’s revealed that Jeff the Land Shark is doing quite well. While not topping the win rate, he is certainly popular among players. Good for him.

However, Jeff’s standing might slightly vary in the future due to some balancing adjustments the developers have implemented. It’s a combination of nerfs and buffs, cushioning the impact. It appears he might have received a bit of both, depending on how the modification to his ultimate ability plays out. The ultimate has been altered from a 10m sphere to a sphere with a 10m radius and a height of 5m, while his Joyful Splash has been amplified to 150/s.

As an additional point of interest, there are two fresh heroes joining the Marvel Rivals roster on January 10, marking Season 1’s launch. Fantastic Four fans rejoice – you’ll soon see Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman making their appearances as a Duelist and a Strategist, respectively.
