Fractured Online Game’s Status Update: Not Great

For some time now, fans of Fractured Online have been awaiting news on the MMORPG. Today, Jacopo, its developer, shed some light on the situation via the Discord channel, an update that was reported by MassivelyOP. Jacopo noted that Dynamight, the firm behind the game, has been experiencing difficulties, much like its development team. The release and subsequent shift to free play of the game did not generate the expected results, primarily due to an insufficient marketing budget and the presence of strong competitors.

Consequently, the workforce was reduced significantly to the three original founders by December end. They are in charge of design, development, and artwork but acknowledged that updates might be slower due to the lean team.

Furthermore, it was highlighted that they have been working without any remuneration for the past two years. The income they have been generating has been used to pay other team members, and whatever remained was allocated for servers, taxes, and a little for the developers.

Dynamight is still on the lookout for additional investment. However, in the problematic state of the gaming industry, finding new sources of funding is tough. Players might still receive some new content in the foreseeable future, but they were cautioned not to expect frequent and substantial updates.
