“Incandescent Ode of Resurrection”: Genshin Impact Version 5.3 to Launch on January 1

The new update of Genshin Impact, labelled Version 5.3: “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection”, is planned for the 1st of January. Along with new stories and characters, it introduces the Pyro Archon, Mavuika, as a playable character, and also marks the return of Liyue’s annual Lantern Rite Festival.

The game update will offer players a rich bounty of freebies, including 1,600 Primogems and a new glider from a daily login event, along with a free 4 star character from the Lantern Rite event.

New Archon Quest: Final Battle in Natlan

• In Act V of the Archon Quest, the Traveller unites with Mavuika and Natlan’s fighters to hinder the Abyssal Mimic Dragon, Lord of Eroded Primal Fire from causing widespread destruction.
• The Traveller stands at the threshold of unlocking their Pyro abilities.

Introduction of New Playable Characters

1. Mavuika (5-Star, Pyro Claymore User)
   • Able to switch between ground combat mode and riding her Flamestrider for traversing through land, water, and air.
   • Accumulates Fighting Spirit to release her Elemental Burst, a potent AoE Pyro strike.
   • Decreases the party’s Nightsoul Transmission Cooldown by 20%.
2. Citlali (5-Star, Cryo Catalyst User)
   • Calls forth Itzpapa and Citlalin to execute AoE Cryo strikes and shields.
   • Reduces enemies’ Pyro and Hydro Resistance affected by Frozen or Melt.
   • Bolsters the squad’s support even when not in active combat.
3. Lan Yan (4-Star, Anemo Catalyst User)
   • Harbors Swallow-Wisp Shield, capable of absorbing Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro damage.
   • Executes aerial assaults with reprocessed energy.
4. Character Event Wishes:
   • Initial Phase: Mavuika and Citlali
   • Subsequent Phase: Arlecchino, Clorinde, and Lan Yan
