Final Fantasy XIV’s Chaotic Alliance Raid Released Today: Check Gear and Consumables

To all the Final Fantasy XIV fans who are craving for more action this Christmas Eve, the game designers have the perfect surprise. The very first Chaotic Alliance Raid, Cloud of Darkness, was launched earlier today in the MMORPG. Unsurprisingly, there have already been successful raids, and you can watch the gameplay videos on Twitch. I’m watching Mr. Happy’s recap as I write this, and he is giving a detailed breakdown.

If you couldn’t be among the first raiders but still eager to try, here are the things you need to arrange. Start by completing your Dawntrail MSQ if you have not yet done so. Proceed to Tullyollal and engage the Wandering Minstrel who is waiting patiently to complicate your life further.

Once the raid is accessible, ensure your item level is 710 or more, and gather your team which should consist of eleven to twenty-three friends. One major distinction between the chaotic Alliance raid and the standard Alliance raid is that chaotic doesn’t mandatorily need 24 players. It demands 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 4 DPS. However, pre-assembled alliances should feature 12 to 24 players and the challenges are designed for 24 players in mind. The good news is that the rewards post-raid remain constant irrespective of the party size.

There’s a bonus for players too. Upon the successful completion of the raid at specific times, players can win extra rewards. A unique icon will appear on the duty finder when such a bonus is up for grabs.
