Evercore Heroes’ Ascension Returns via Steam Early Access in 2025

The Evercore Heroes: Ascension video game has had a tumultuous year. The game commenced 2024 as a hybrid title, sporting MOBA elements before taking a hiatus following an underwhelming beta. Subsequently, it transitioned into more of a rogue-like character and introduced the new “Ascension” tag.

Although the video game is designed around 3v3 matchups, the creators have embarked on a new “Hero Mode” conceived for solo gaming.

This appears to be quite a bit of back-and-forth….and it, indeed, is!

With 2025 on the horizon, the Vela Games squad is hopeful that their tactical redirection will bear fruit. According to them, players will soon have multiple opportunities to validate this. Firstly, Evercore Heroes: Ascension is slated to feature at the Steam Next Fest in February. Over the course of 2025, they anticipate rolling out more play tests and an eventual early access launch. Secondly, leveraging player input for hero and shard updates to attain game balance continues to be a focus, which will persist as more players experience the game.

We’ve witnessed Evercore’s testing play out before without fantastic results. Here’s hoping their strategic time-out for reflection and refinement proves worth it. We can look forward to more details during Steam Next Fest in the early days of next year.
