Square Enix Restarts Auto Housing Demolition for Final Fantasy XIV NA Players

It’s not always easy keeping up with the housing dynamics in Final Fantasy XIV, especially as the game developers occasionally put a pause on demolition. October was the last month when the MMORPG players had to stress about logging into their house to prevent it from being razed and sold to the highest bidder. The time to worry about this is approaching once again.

The FFXIV team has announced the re-introduction of housing demolition. But rest easy, you still have till January 8, 2025, before it comes into effect. However, note that this does not mean that the demolition countdown period kicks off on this date. It actually depends on when you last stepped into your house. Essentially, you must enter the house, simply visiting the property is not enough.

For those who have visited their house at least once since the demolition was put on hold, the timer will be reset. This implies that as long as you get into your house before demolition recommences, you’re safe. However, if you fail to do so, the timer resumes from where it last stopped. In simpler terms, if you had merely 11 days left before the suspension was enacted in October, and you fail to enter your house again before January 8, you’re left with just 11 days before your house is taken away. A simple visit to your house can save it. Spare yourself the anxiety.

In other news, we’re in the four-day countdown to Patch 7.15. The Dawntrail special site has been refreshed with insights on the forthcoming content. With the upcoming patch, the new Cloud of Darkness Chaotic Alliance Raid is all set to make its presence known, complete with fresh gear and an eye-catching mount. The update also triggers the “Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures” for the more laid-back players. It appears he’s headed for Solution 9, inciting sympathy for the Alexandrians.

Crafters and collectors will receive their premier Dawntrail Custom Delivery requests with Nitowike. A fresh batch of Wachemeqimeqi Quests will also be on offer for those who have wrapped up all the crafting and assembly role quests. We’ll need to wait till 7.16 to conclude the storyline for the DoW/M role quests.
