The lawsuit Nintendo has launched against Palworld‘s creator, Pocketpair, is yet to unfold more details. With the processing of legal matters taking time, updates on the situation are currently sparse. We are aware of the specific patents that Nintendo alleges were violated as described in team’s post, but that’s all the information we have so far.
Despite these legal issues, the development of the monster-catching game is ongoing. Pocketpair has been hinting towards a “significant update” releasing in December for Palworld. Although specifics about the update are yet to be revealed, it will feature a new area, an island that is 6 times larger than Sakurajima, an area included in the latest update.
In addition to a disclosure about new Tower bosses, there are talks about fierce pals and a considerable amount of fresh content.
The team also confirmed what had been only a rumor until now, a collaboration with the successful game Terraria. The project is set to debut in 2025.
